    The Park

If you wander west from Bronte Beach and the first block of shops, you’ll find the Macpherson Park play space nestled between native shade trees.

It’s only a small pocket play space, but it has been well designed and packs a punch! The natural colour palette and material selection of earthy softball rubber colours, stone steppers, playground mulch, and timber frame equipment help the play space to fit in with its surroundings.

Babies, toddlers and preschool children will enjoy the combination unit that includes a slide and play panels. There’s a rope play set up and basket swing for children (5-11 years) to climb, swing and hang from. There’s also a generous kickabout space to let off energy in the park.

The mature trees in the park provide shade over the playground. Different textured shrubs and ground cover plantings add a sensory element to the play space and help screen from the adjacent roads.

The playground is well serviced for furniture, with multiple seats with backrests, a picnic setting and drinking fountain all within the park.

There’s no shortage of cafes nearby, and it’s only a short walk to Bronte Beach.

If you are looking for a larger playground in the area with more variety and options, then Bronte Park (Bronte Beach Playground) is definitely worth checking out!

Despite only being a small pocket playground, Macpherson Park is well equipped for its size. The timber play structures, natural rubber colours and steppers through the playground create a peaceful environment. The playground is a pleasant spot to visit if you’re after for a quieter space in Bronte.
