    The Park

Furlough Park is a beach pocket playground located next to Narrabeen Surf Club. Narrabeen Beach is renowned for its surf, so it’s worth wandering down to see if there are any surfers out during your visit.

The playground is fully fenced and is covered entirely in wetpour rubber. It consists of a simple combination unit and swing set. The combination unit offers play value on the ground level with a shop front and other panels for younger children to interact with. Kids can climb up the steps to reach the slide at the top of the tower.

The swing set is a typical older style, but offers another kind of play for kids to play with.

Next to the playground are a couple of BBQs and picnic settings. These give you the perfect excuse to plan a beach day and hang around for lunch!

Be sure to bring a hat, cover up and bring plenty of sunscreen, because the playground and BBQ area are very exposed.

If you’re looking for a larger playground with more variety in Narrabeen, Berry Reserve Playground is only a short walk away, by Narrabeen Lagoon.

    Highlights

The highlight of Furlough Park is that it’s right next to Narrabeen Beach! It’s in the perfect location to break up a beach day and cook up a BBQ lunch!
